(Ages 7-10)

  • Assistant Chef overview to assess skill level
  • Reading recipes and labels
  • Recognizing and using kitchen tools
  • Measuring, leveling spoons & cups
  • Microwave/stove top use
  • Using fresh vegetables & fruit
  • Cracking eggs
  • Kneading & rolling dough
  • Cutting/slicing soft foods with kid safe knife
  • Whisking and folding in ingredients
  • Meal planning & list making
  • Using recipes with about 6 or less ingredients

ASSISTANT CHEF
(Ages 5-6)

  • Scrubbing & cleaning vegetables and fruits
  • Opening packages
  • Cleaning table and work surface
  • Spreading with a dull knife or child safe knife
  • Gathering ingredients
  • Pouring premeasured ingredients
  • Stirring, greasing pans, prepping
  • Assembling ingredients for simple recipes
  • Peeling eggs, oranges, bananas
  • Crushing chips, crackers, etc. for toppings​​



PRICING & STRUCTURE

Each session is 4 weeks long consisting of one 2 hour class per week.

The price of $285 includes food and materials for all 4 classes.

JUNIOR CHEF
(Ages 11-14)

  • Assistant Chef & Chef In Training overview to assess skill level
  • Knife safety
  • Oven safety & use of oven
  • Using grater, zester, electric mixer, blender, other kitchen appliances
  • Chopping vegetables
  • Following steps and preparing simple recipes & cooking terms
  • Working with dough and baking
  • Using a kitchen scale
  • Creating and planning meals
  • Appetizer
  • Side Dish
  • Main Dish
  • Dessert

SENIOR CHEF
(Ages 15-18)

  • Assistant Chef & Chef In Training overview to assess skill level

  • Sautéing, boiling, browning
  • Broiling, baking
  • Where different types of foods come from
  • Mixing Spices
  • Preserving food
  • Nutrition and meal planning
  • Complete meal including dessert
  • Appetizer
  • Side Dish
  • Main Dish
